Abstract

This research is motivated by the activeness of students in organizing and learning motivation have a big influence on student achievement. Of the many activities on campus, students who are active in organizations must be able to divide their time between studying and being in organizations. Because this will affect the learning achievement. Students who can divide their time well between the organization and lectures are likely to have better academic achievement compared to students who cannot divide their time well. This research is a quantitative research with causal associative method. The population in this study were students of the Economics Education Study Program at PGRI Wiranegara University, all batches of 68 students. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire and documentation, with a prerequisite test, namely the classical assumption test including: (normality, linearity, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity). The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results obtained in this study indicate that: (1) there is a partial positive and significant effect of organizational activity on student achievement index. (2) there is a partial positive and significant effect of learning motivation on student achievement index. (3) there is a simultaneous positive and significant influence on organizational activity and work- learning motivation on the achievement index of students of the Economics Education Study Program at PGRI Wiranegara University. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination(R2) it shows that the achievement index (Y) is influenced by 37% by the variables of activeness in organizing (X1) and learning motivation (X2) while the rest (100% - 37% = 63%) is explained by the causes other.
